The History of Dee Force Aviation and RC Depot

RC Depot (Konishi Mokei Co., LTD), has work alongside and with JR PROPO for many years. RC Depot began the Dee Force Aviation (DFA) brand almost 10 years ago. Initially RC Depot began by providing support and repair for JR consumers in Japan.
Soon after this RC Depot began to supply other products worldwide and in 2016 entered a licensed agreement with JR PROPO to manufacture JR products. This product line consisted of receivers, servos, transmitters and accessories for JR PROPO at the former JR Malaysian factory.

In early 2017 RC Depot began to develop new receivers, and servos utilizing both former JR engineers as well as new engineers in Japan.
In December of 2017, JR PROPO of Japan filed for bankruptcy, not long after, the Japanese courts from Osaka District informed RC Depot they could no longer use the JR PROPO Brand name. So, it was decided to start using the DFA label to comply with the court orders on the JR brand name in March 2018.

In April 2018, RC Depot successfully purchased the JR trademarks and intellectual properties along with complete engineering drawings.
RC Depot now refers to the DFA brand as “DFA by JR”
The future is bright, and the legacy of JR endures thru DFA.
RC Depot Australia
RC Depot Australia came into fruition with the collaboration of Tomohisa Konishi (RC Depot Japan) and Steve Richardson (Richo's Radio Active RC). Tomohisa and Steve had know each other for many years through international RC competitions and JR PROPO promotions. Steve was looking to make changes to his Richo's Radio Active RC business and Tomohisa San was looking for a better way to provide access to his product to the Australian RC modeler. So, after much discussion, it looked like an ideal time to start RC Depot Australia.
Tomohisa San was more than happy for Steve to start operating as RC Depot Australia and have DFA product range supplied and supported in Australia. RC Depot Australia is owned and operated by Steve Richardson, RC Depot Japan is owned and operated by Tomohisa Konishi. Together Dee Force Aviation products are made available to the Australian RC modeler.
Steve Richardson has been an avid modeller for over 20 years, he has been working in the RC industry for more than 10 years. Steve is well know from when he worked at DA Australia, as well as his exploits in large scale aerobatics. A founding member of the Australian Scale Aerobatics Association, Steve also ran the Tucson Aerobatic Shootout on 3 occasions and part of the operational committee for the inaugural IMAC world championships in 2014. In recent years Steve set out on his own setting up Richo's Radio Active RC, providing a complete build service for large scale models and jets. Now the owner operator RC Depot Australia, Steve looks forward to what the future holds.
